I stopped getting haircuts. Yes i admit it im a beauty editor who doesnt get haircuts.

But i have to admit.

No haircut for a year. How did i do it. Short and sweet pixie. Well i do about once a year to my stylists dismay and it seems to have made a little bit of difference in the length of my hair but not by much.

After a decade long bout with hair extensions i decided to unclip and allow my hair a bit of freedomi thought my hair would grow like lightning believing surely it was the styling and extra weight that kept the length stagnant for years on end. On terribly cold days i turned to qhemets amla olive heavy cream or burdock root butter cream to lock in moisture. Its possible to go one year and not have any haircuts.

Buns and delicate braids can be fun but this badass style can only benefit a no nonsense little girl. My last haircut was in 2011 when i was heading to college. A year ago i was skeptical.

Ive had a long journey with my curlsfrom hating them to overstyling them and finally accepting and loving them. I havent had a haircut in over 5 years and my hair is the best its ever been. I kept my hair moisturized and tucked away.

Now i know its true. It works perfectly well for the 9 and 10 year olds and on the go toddlers. Short hairstyles for 10 year old girls can be coifed at the sides for a fresh sophisticated flair.
